Semester Internships: POLS 397 (4-8 credits)

Students interested in doing an internship in their home town or elsewhere can arrange for a 1-8 credit internship through the CSB/SJU Political Science Department. Students are responsible for making their own internship arrangements but Political Science faculty are available to provide advice and the necessary letter of recommendation. In recent years students have worked in the local offices of Representative Colin Peterson and James Oberstar, Senator Norm Coleman, the Minnesota Public Research Group, St. Cloud Area Legal Services and Hennepin County Juvenile Services, to name a few. Interested students should contact the department chair.  The department frequently receives information on possible internships.  These announcements are emailed to political science students.  If you are not receiving the internship e-mail announcements from the department, please contact the department office manager.

Please refer to the Career Services Web Page for further details.  Students interested in doing an internship need to work closely with the Career Services Internship Director the semester prior (or earlier) to the internship.
