"Fr. John Kaiser & the Struggle for Human Rights in Kenya."  Panel: Mr. Dean Urdahl, Fr. William Vos, Mr. Cyprian K' Oywa.

On August 24th, 2000, Fr. John Kaiser was murdered in Kenya for his human rights activism there. He has received awards for his human rights activism from the Law Society of Kenya; the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, and the Minneapolis-based Advocates for Human Rights. Dean Urdahl is author of the recently published novel on the life and work of Fr. Kaiser, The Collar and the Gun. Fr. Bill Vos worked in Tanzania and Kenya for 19 years as a Maryknoll priest and was a friend and colleague of Fr. Kaiser. Cyprian K' Oywa, from Homa Bay in western Kenya, was a friend of Fr. Kaiser, who he met as a student at St. John's Seminary high school in Rakwaro,
