Orientation and Welcome Fest

The first six weeks of each school year are the most important in creating a campus community.

Student Activities and Leadership Development has created an event-filled Orientation and Welcome Fest.   Students will begin arriving on August 26 and we look forward to meeting you and your son or daughter as students and families unpack, meet roommates, and explore the campuses.

Throughout orientation, time is set aside for students to acclimate to their surroundings, assist in meeting their floor and future classmates, and create a vibrant campus community for all.

Moving past Orientation, September has been designed to create an atmosphere in which students are able to find out more about one another and the campuses through events on-campus and in the community.  Beginning with a Community BBQ, students will be able to learn about different clubs and organizations, attend Johnnie football games and Bennie volleyball games, explore campus ministry events, attend concerts, and see comedians.  It all culminates with "Spirit Week" at the end of the September

It is our hope that students will be able to learn about the many opportunities available at CSB/SJU and begin to create their own sense of community throughout these first six weeks. For more information, feel free to contact Gwen Schimek at 320.363.5755 or via email gschimek@csbsju.edu.
