U.S. Embassy and Consulate Information

U.S. Embassy and Consulate offices abroad in the country where you are studying can provide important information and resources for U.S. citizens abroad. 

These offices allow individuals traveling abroad to register their whereabouts.

In case of emergency, the services offered can be crucially important.

Consular Information Sheets

OEA staff will work with program faculty directors and Embassy and Consulate officials to obtain contact information for local hospitals/law enforcement/emergency medical care in case of emergency.

The United States Department of State offers Consular Information Sheets for U.S. travelers to every country in the world.  These sheets offer helpful information about various topics, including a country's history, culture, entry/exit requirements, health/safety information, security warnings.
