Jacob Webber is graduating in the spring of 2014. He is a nutrition major from Eau Claire, Wisc.

What inspired you to become a nutrition major?

Whether it was playing sports, hanging out with friends or running around outside, I was always very active growing up. Before I started college, I was undecided in my major, however, I knew that I was always interested in health and nutrition. When I found the dietetics program at CSB and SJU, I absolutely fell in love with it.

What advice do you have for students considering a major in nutrition?

Time management is crucial in attaining success in this major. If you can stay organized and on top of things, you really set yourself up for success. Even though you may endure times of struggle with the material, it is such a rewarding feeling when you stick with it.

How do you anticipate using your degree after graduation?

After graduation, I will just be finishing my dietetics internship. I will also complete the Registered Dietitians exam to become a Registered Dietitian. Ultimately, I hope to become a clinical dietitian while continuing my education within the field.

What has been the highlight of your time at CSB and SJU?

The highlight of my time at CSB and SJU has been establishing the friendships with my fellow classmates. CSB and SJU is an amazing community and the relationships I have made with my professors and peers has really made my time here worthwhile.

What has been the biggest challenge that you have had to overcome?

The biggest challenge I have had to overcome was seeking help from others. I have always been a person that felt I could achieve everything on my own, but I've learned that professors at CSB and SJU are a valuable resource. They want you to succeed and are always willing to help when asked.

Are you involved in any other activities or clubs at CSB and SJU?

Right now, I am not involved with other activities as my schedule has been very busy this year with class, work and volunteering. I would, however, recommend to future students to get involved with many different activities during your time at CSB and SJU and take advantage of everything this school has to offer.
