CSB Residential Life brought in a group of therapy dogs to give first-year students a break from the books during Study Day on May 10. All totaled, nine dogs and their handlers spent about two hours with the students — talking, laughing, and forgetting about the stress of finals week for a bit. In addition to the therapy dogs, students also had the chance to interact with minature horses, a goat, and several ducks and chickens.
Saint Ben's Residential Life worked with a therapy dog trainer from Royalton, Minn. to identify the dogs and other animals that were part of this event. J.P. Martin has been training dogs and their handlers for over two decades.
