SJU Art Gallery Exhibits

Collegeville, Minn. - Minnesota artists Kinji Akagawa and Marina Kuchinski will exhibit a collection of their works through Sunday, May 25, in the Saint John's Art Center.

A native of Tokyo, Japan, Akagawa's exhibit "Remembering" will be on display in the Alice R. Rogers Gallery. Akagawa currently teaches at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. The exhibit will feature a collection of public art installations of various forms.

Kuchinski's exhibit "Spider's Nests" about ceramics will be in the Dayton-Hudson Gallery. Kuchinski is currently an assistant professor of art at St. Cloud State University. A graduate of Bezadel Academy of Art in Jerusalem, Kuchinski has displayed her work throughout the nation, including exhibits in California, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

There will be a reception with the artists on Friday, April 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Saint John's Art Center. The galleries will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on Thursdays. For more information, call 320-363-2701.
