Brace Hemmelgarn

Brace Hemmelgarn '12 takes pictures at Target Field in 2011.

Like a lot of Minnesotans at this time of year, Saint John's University graduate Brace Hemmelgarn '12 is spending some time in Florida.

But Hemmelgarn isn't there to get his feet wet in the ocean, hit some balls at a golf course or visit Mickey or Donald at Disney World.

Hemmelgarn is the first full-time photographer employed by the Minnesota Twins. He is in Fort Myers taking pictures of Twins' players and coaches for a variety of media platforms.

The graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral High School calls it his dream job, which makes sense since he has been a Twins' fan all his life.

See the KARE-TV story by sports anchor Eric Perkins that was recently done on Hemmelgarn.

Read the June 2011 profile of Hemmelgarn by Mike Killeen that appeared on the CSB/SJU website between his junior and senior years at SJU.
