Arocena’s rescheduled performance is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater, Saint John’s University. She was scheduled to perform Saturday, Nov. 18, at SJU.

Tickets for the Nov. 18 performance will be honored at the May 4 show. Ticket holders also have the option of exchanging their tickets for another event in the 2017-18 Fine Arts Series if they are unable to attend the May 4 performance.

According to the International Music Network (IMN), Arocena’s management company, recent actions by the U.S. State Department to suspend the processing of visas at the U.S. Consulate in Havana necessitated the rescheduling of her November tour of the U.S.

Arocena was nominated for a 2017 MOBO Award in Europe for best jazz act on Oct. 24.
