Distinctive travel opportunities

Guest travelers bring special interests and expertise to the travel programs offered by the CSB/SJU Benedictine Center for Lifelong Learning in the coming months. Alumnae/i, parents, and friends are invited to join CSB President MaryAnn Baenninger in Vietnam; Arctic explorer Paul Schurke '77 on the dog sled trails of Minnesota's Boundary Waters; Rick and Gwen Stende Reiter '57 in Colonial Mexico; Dr. Cynthia Curran of the CSB/SJU History Department in England; and Mary Reuter, OSB at Benedictine monasteries in Italy.

Greetings from campus!

CSB/SJU will celebrate the holiday season with their traditional “Celebrating the Season” concert at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2 at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis. Musicians from CSB/SJU musical groups will perform a variety of seasonal music.

CSB/SJU sets record enrollment
The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, ranked nationally among the top liberal arts colleges, together enrolled 3,913 undergraduate students this fall. This marks the first time total combined undergraduate enrollment has exceeded 3,900 students.

CSB student presents honors thesis in Berlin
College of Saint Benedict senior Roxanne Rabe, a management major from Kelliher, Minn., has been chosen to present her honors thesis at the International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility, Oct. 11 -13, at Humboldt University in Berlin.

Saint John's University presents Alumni Achievement Award to Mayo Clinic’s Thomas F. Smith
Thomas F. Smith, director of the virus laboratory and former division chair of clinical microbiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., was recently given an Alumni Achievement Award in Science from Saint John's University for his involvement in research that led to rapid anthrax testing and rapid smallpox testing in humans.
