Fine Arts Programming (FAP) at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University presents a variety of internationally acclaimed artists in the next month.
On Saturday, Jan. 27, FAP welcomes the Luna Negra Dance Theater to the Petters Auditorium, Benedict Arts Center of the College of Saint Benedict. The Luna Negra Dance Theater is devoted to the creation and presentation of contemporary dance of Latino choreographers. Learn more.
Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery will construct a sand mandala painting Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, at the Saint John’s University Art Center. The public is welcome to view the mandala, in its various stages of construction, throughout the week. View the details.
And the famed multiphonic singers of Tibet’s Drepung Loseling Monastery, whose sellout performances in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center received national acclaim, will perform “Sacred Music Sacred Dance for World Healing” at Saint John’s University as part of their international tour of The Mystical Arts of Tibet on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater at SJU. Learn more.
