On stage: a rabbit, dancing, and a string quartet
Fine Arts Programming (FAP) presents a variety of top notch performances in January.
The Enchantment Theatre Company presents The Velveteen Rabbit at the Petters Auditorium, Benedicta Arts Center of the College of Saint Benedict at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18.
At 8 p.m. the next night, Saturday, Jan. 19, the Philharmonia Quartett Berlin will perform at the Stephen B. Humprey Theater at Saint John's University.
And finally, FAP presents choreographer Ronald K. Brown and Evidence, A Dance Company at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in Petters Auditorium, Benedicta Arts Center of the College of Saint Benedict.

Saints Network Midwinter Luncheon with the presidents
You are invited to the annual Saints Network Midwinter Luncheon with Br. Dietrich Reinhart, OSB, president of Saint John's University, and MaryAnn Baenninger, president of the College of Saint Benedict at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Solera Restaurant in Minneapolis (900 Hennepin Avenue). Guest speaker Joe Des Jardins, CSB/SJU associate provost/academic dean, will discuss The Eugene J. McCarthy Center for Public Policy & Civic Engagement and the Thomas J. Petters Center for Global Education. A recent Star Tribune editorial endorsed the naming of the McCarthy Center after the 1935 honors graduate. The registration deadline is Feb. 7, and the cost is $35 ($30 by Jan. 24).

John Gagliardi named National Coach of the Year
Saint John's University head football coach John Gagliardi was named the 2007 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year for NCAA Division III.
