His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI calls The Saint John's Bible a 'Work for Eternity'

The most rare, full-sized reproduction of the Saint John's Bible was presented to his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on April 4, 2008.  As he turned the pages, the Holy Father described it as a "work of art, a great work of art."

The presentation occurred at the Vatican in Rome during the annual meeting of the Papal Foundation.  The Holy Father received the St. Peter Apostles Edition of The Saint John's Bible and a handwritten dedication page by Donald Jackson, the Bible's artistic director.

Commencement Weekend is May 10-11
Commencement ceremonies for the College of Saint Benedict will be held on Saturday, May 10. Ceremonies for Saint John's University are on Sunday, May 11.

Sports camps offered at both CSB and SJU this summer
Both the Blazers and the Johnnies will be hosting a variety of camps thoughout the summer for grade school and high school age children.

2008 Inspiring Leaders nominees announced
At 5 p.m., Sunday, April 20, 2008, in the Gorecki Conference and Dining Center, all nominees will be formally recognized for their leadership at the Inspiring Leaders Recognition Banquet.

Book Buy Back is May 6–9, 2008
Students will be given half of the purchase price of a textbook if the professor has ordered the text for the next semester and if the bookstore does not already have a sufficient number of them.

Caritas Award recognizes commitment to service and justice
The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University present the Caritas Award to Maya Main, CSB class of 2008; Ben DeMarais, SJU class of 2008; Christine Kustelski, CSB class of 1996, and Paul Conroy, SJU class of 2005, on Monday, April 14 in Quad 264, on the Saint John's campus.
