Celebrating Scholarship and Creativity Day is April 26

CSCD LogoCelebrating Scholarship and Creativity Day will take place at both the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University on Thursday, April 26.

This day is dedicated to celebrating the students, faculty and staff who have accomplished significant research, scholarship or creative works.

Poster and oral presentations will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both campuses. A searchable schedule of the individual presentations is posted online. Search instructions are also available online.

Approximately 870 CSB and SJU students will make about 380 presentations during the day.

Though classes will not be held during the day (night classes beginning at 6:15 p.m. will be held, however), students, faculty, staff, administration and community members are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the day’s activities.

Celebrating Scholarship and Creativity Day is sponsored and planned by the Undergraduate Research Program at CSB and SJU.

The basic Celebrating Scholarship and Creativity Day schedule includes:

8:15-8:30 a.m. — Celebrating Scholarship and Creativity Day kickoff with refreshments at the Great Hall, SJU.

8:30-9:30 a.m. — Large poster session at the Great Hall, SJU.

8:30 a.m.-noon — Concurrent sessions on both campuses.

Noon-1 p.m. — Break for lunch.

1-2 p.m. — Large poster session at room 204, Gorecki Center, CSB.

1-5 p.m. — Concurrent sessions on both campuses.
