Four authors to sign copies of their new books Oct. 17 at SJU Bookstore

The Saint John's University Bookstore will host a book signing on Saturday, Oct. 17, as part of Homecoming festivities.

Jennifer Kutter and Larry Haeg will be signing copies of their new book "The Nature of Saint John's: A Guide to the Landscape and Spirituality of Saint John's Abbey Arboretum." Kutter, a 2003 graduate of the College of Saint Benedict, is the department coordinator for Saint John's Outdoor University, the Abbey Arboretum and the CSB/SJU environmental studies department. Haeg, a 1967 graduate of SJU, is a retired executive vice president of Wells Fargo & Company.

Don Bloch will be signing copies of his book "A Shadow at the Gate: A Memoir." Bloch, a 1965 graduate of SJU, studied to be a priest, became a hobo, served as a pilot instructor during the Vietnam War and is a retired special agent/pilot for the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Wayne Liebhard will be signing copies of his new novel "The Vortex Effect." Liebhard, a 1978 graduate of SJU, is a family practitioner and primary care doctor in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He is also the author of "Elephants in the Exam Room."
