The Saint John's University Bookstore will host a book signing by three authors on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the campus bookstore. This event is free and open to the public.

Kilian McDonnell, OSB, will be signing copies of his new book of poetry Aggressive Mercy and four previously published poetry books. McDonnell is a monk/theologian of Saint John's Abbey and was the founder and first executive director of the Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research, now called the Collegeville Institute. McDonnell's latest collection of poetry once again brings biblical characters to life, illustrating an extremely merciful God.

Author Bernard Evans will be signing copies of his newly published book Stewardship: Living a Biblical Call and previously published Lazarus at the Table: Catholics and Social Justice. Evans holds the Virgil Michel Ecumenical Chair in Rural Social Ministries at Saint John's School of Theology/Seminary. He is a frequent speaker in parishes on the topic of biblical stewardship. His new book gives parish leaders and parishioners the biblical foundations for stewardship and then explores various forms of stewardship.

Poet Larry Schug will be signing his new book of poetry At Gloaming, along with three of his earlier books of poetry. Schug is retired from 34 years at College of Saint Benedict, primarily working as Recycling Coordinator and is currently a volunteer writing tutor at CSB and a volunteer naturalist at the Arboretum at Saint John's University. Drawing upon his life and long resume, Schug brings much of his experience out in his verse, leading to down to earth work that anybody can understand and enjoy.

The book signing will take place in the SJU Bookstore, which is located in Sexton Commons, on the SJU campus in Collegeville. For more information contact Ann Jonas at 320-363-3081, 1-800-420-4509.
