Two CSB graduates earn 5 Under 40 Awards Jan. 24 from Times Media

Two graduates of the College of Saint Benedict were honored as "5 Under 40" winners Jan. 24 at the Paramount Center for the Arts, St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Emily Coborn '08 and Hudda Ibrahim '13 were recognized by Times Media, the sponsor of the awards. 

The 5 Under 40 awards recognize five leaders under the age of 40 who show influence on the local St. Cloud economy and involvement in the community. The awards are in their 12th year.

Coborn was a double-major in communication and Spanish and graduated magna cum laude from CSB, and then earned a master's degree in business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She now works as the vice president of fresh merchandise at Coborn's Inc.

Ibrahim was a double-major in peace studies and English at CSB, and then earned a master's degree in international peace studies from the University of Notre Dame. She is an educator at St. Cloud Technical and Community College, is involved helping Somali-Americans and other immigrants transition into the community and founded Filsan Consultant LLC, which provides guidance to the Somali business community.
