CSB/SJU ranked highly in several national reviews

CSB and SJU both moved up in national rankings in 2016. On July 11, CSB and SJU were among 50 schools in the third annual Money Magazine's "Best Colleges for Your Money" and were highlighted among the Best Liberal Arts Colleges, Most Affordable Private Colleges and Best Private Colleges for Merit Aid in the nation.

On Sept. 14, CSB and SJU were listed in national rankings of liberal arts colleges by two magazines. In the U.S. News rating of National Liberal Arts Colleges, SJU tied for 77th and CSB tied for 87th. In a separate rating, SJU was ranked No. 32 and CSB was No. 34 in the Washington Monthly rankings of liberal arts colleges.

On Oct. 14, CSB and SJU were jointly listed in the Princeton Review's "The Best 381 Colleges: 2017 edition" as the Best College Newspaper (No. 14), Most Active Student Government (No. 15) and Best Campus Food (No. 18). In addition, CSB and SJU were ranked among the Best Midwestern Schools, Colleges that Pay You Back and Green Colleges.

For the 12th  consecutive year, the Open Doors 2016 report listed the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University as one of the top study abroad schools. The Nov. 14 release ranked CSB and SJU as No. 3 among baccalaureate schools with students who studied abroad during the 2014-15 school year.
