Women’s Walk raises $39,000

The second annual College of Saint Benedict Women’s Walk raised $39,000, which includes all cash and in-kind donations. This was a 30 percent increase over last year’s event, when $30,000 was raised.

Despite the dreary weather, the number of participants grew as well. About 350 walkers were able to choose between walking an outdoor route through the campus, or the indoor track at Clemens Field House. This number was up from 300 walkers last year.

The proceeds will benefit CSB athletics and recreation. There are 12 varsity sports at CSB, and more than 80 percent of CSB students use the facilities and services provided by campus recreation.
