The College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University's Asian Studies Program was mentioned in a segment of Minnesota Public Radio's Midmorning program on Monday, August 15. CSB/SJU's Asian Studies Program was praised by Daniel H. Rosen, founder of China Strategic Advisory, which provides consulting services on U.S.-China business. The author of five well-received books on doing business in China, Rosen is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Institute for International Economics.
Rosen cited, in his interview with Kerri Miller, the importance of CSB/SJU's study abroad program in Beibei in giving its students needed linguistic and cultural expertise. In particular, Rosen mentioned Beijing-based Carol Rueckert, CSB '99, as doing impressive English-language training of up-and-coming Chinese business leaders.
