Organ, Voice, and Guitar Proficiencies for Liturgical Music
All Liturgical Music majors are required to pass proficiency examinations in organ and voice. Guitar proficiency is not required, however, it is recommended that majors take some guitar, when possible. Proficiency for voice is achieved at the discretion of the instructor. Proficiency exams can be taken only during juries at the end of the semester. Organ proficiency varies by students' primary instruments and is provided by the instructor through consultation with the keyboard faculty (for example; Organ majors must also complete a service playing proficiency).
