Br. John-Bede Pauley is a PhD candidate in Musicology from Durham University. Before transferring to Durham, he engaged in two years of doctoral work in musicology and music theory pedagogy at Indiana University, Bloomington. His areas of research interest are nineteenth- and twentieth-century British music and the relation of music to theology and liturgy.

Br. John-Bede has an M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey. He has studied voice with Carolyn Finley, Elizabeth Mannion, Elem Eley, and John de Haan.
