Daniel Rassier received his B.S. in Music Education from St. Cloud State University in 1976 and a M.S. in Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana in 1978. He has taught music and band for 38 years in the ROCORI School District in Cold Spring, Minnesota. Dan was voted in as ROCORI's Teacher Of The Year in 2015 by his ROCORI colleagues. His education and experiences are centered around instrumental music from beginning band to marching band to concert band. Dan has conducted several community and church bands over the years along with performing in a variety of musical ensembles as a member or/and soloist. His knowledge and experience in instrumental pedagogy continues to gain strength with each passing year. Dan currently teaches kindergarten through grade five general music classes and choir in the ROCORI Schools and loves every second of it. Teaching music to young children is beyond special and has opened countless doors to new sounds and feelings. Each semester of CSB/SJU Symphonic Band creates a new musical world to explore with CSB/SJU students who are also beyond special!
