Students choosing the Performance concentration, upon recommendation of the faculty, demonstrate the highest levels of performance proficiency and capability. This concentration requires students to study a larger repertoire at a higher level of difficulty than is expected of performers in other concentrations. Repertoire is chosen to provide a comprehensive knowledge of musical style and a high level of performance competence. There are also higher performance expectations including full junior and senior recitals. Detailed supervision is given by the studio teacher with support from faculty within each division of the department.
Students are reminded to consult with their music department faculty advisor prior to each registration.
