Video & Audio Production

Media Services partners with a wide range of interdisciplinary courses to educate students in the art, craft, and technology of video and audio production. Our objective is to foster information and media literacy by expanding on traditional intellectual skill sets to include the ability to use media technology to create messages and express ideas.

With a wide range of media equipment, facilities, and support—students and faculty are able to learn the basics of video/audio production in a few short sessions and can produce a variety of multimedia content as part of individual assignments or collaborative projects.

Media Services also serves as mentors and advisors for Johnnie Bennie Media; the student media organization on campus. Working with the organization allows students the opportunity to develop their multimedia skill sets while building their résumés/portfolios with hands-on experience.

Examples of previous course assignments include: news packages, public services announcements, short documentaries, promotional pieces, audio podcasts, and more.
