Universities in German-speaking countries
A list of universities in German-speaking countries is available. So far it includes every university in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland that has a WWW server. If you are thinking of studying abroad, this may help you learn about some possible places to go.
The WWW Virtual Library's German Subject Catalog
This is a directory of topics containing a tremendous leisure and research database. Items include history, philosophy, journalism, sports, and much more. If you look around, you can also find a copy of Der Spiegel, one of Germany's major magazines. (Auch in Deutsch verfügbar)
The German Genealogy Home Page is a collection of information located in Arizona about Germany. There is a wide varity of topics to choose from. A few examples are a collection of form letters that you can send to German churches looking for your long lost relatives and a city locator which may help you find that small village you've been meaning to visit.
The course catalogue should be the most regularly updated item in this list, because it is adjusted at the start of every semester by the local web-master. While not every one of the courses is offered each semester, the list will give you an idea of major requirements and courses to expect.
