The University of Rochester sponsors programs in London, Bonn, Brussels, Paris and Madrid that combine internships and coursework taken concurrently. An internship is an invaluable opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in the "real world" of a European capital city, while earning academic credit. You trade your energy, intelligence, and willingness to work for the opportunity to be part of an organization or system which interests you. Because internships for college credit are unpaid, many offices, departments, businesses and political arenas have places for interns where they could not possibly offer jobs. In many cases, you do not need to major in the same field as your internship.
