Our study tour will focus on immigration in Minnesota. The trip will allow students interested in public policy to see the political, economic, and cultural impact that the three largest immigrant populations have on the state of Minnesota (Hispanic, Hmong, and Somali). Goals include a tour of a farmers or flea market, non-profit or other organizations which serve or employ the communities, immigrant-owned small businesses, and interaction with relevant government institutions.
