Can faculty and staff continue to use their campus ID card to charge purchases?
No. New federal regulations no longer allow faculty, staff, or students to use their campus ID card as a charge card.
Can students still charge books and meal plans to their student account?
Yes, but only during limited time periods. CSB and SJU undergraduate students may still charge educational materials at the bookstore or student meal plans at Culinary/Dining Services to their student account from August 1 to September 10 and from December 10 to February 10.
What alternatives are in place?
CSB and SJU have instituted the following changes to ease the transition.
Can students or staff continue to charge club fundraising pledges to their campus ID cards?
No. Students and employees are no longer able to charge fundraising pledges to their I.D. cards.
Can students or staff continue to charge athletic activities to their campus ID cards?
No. Students and employees are no longer able to charge athletic activities to their I.D. cards.
How do I pay when I register for campus events?
You can pay for events with cash, check or credit/debit cards. Some also have prepay options available when you register online.
How do I pay for my meals now?
CSB and SJU Culinary and Dining Services offer meal plan options that students and employees may purchase for use at dining facilities on both campuses. You can also use cash, check or credit/debit cards for one-time meal purchases.
Will fines still be charged to my student/employee account?
Yes. Fines including library and parking fines will still be made to your student/employee account if applicable.
