Welcome to the official web site for the Saint John's Maple Syrup operation. Since the early 1940's the St. John's community has participated in this annual rite of spring. This site provides an overview of our operation, its history, events, and other pertinent information. The maple syrup operation is run by Brother Walter Kieffer, O.S.B. Br. Walter is assisted by Stephen Saupe (CSB/SJU Biology Department), as well as Bill and Linda Mock (volunteers) and Sarah Gainey (Arboretum).
