Outreach Programs

To encourage sustained interaction between students and Latinos in the region, the Learning Community promotes volunteerism and service learning projects in the Fast Forward Program and at the Casa Guadalupe.  Moreover, the community endeavors to bring Latino high-school students onto campus to attend Learning Community sponsored events.  It is the project team’s hope that these encounters will promote deep, personal interaction between members of campus and local communities and thus transform both.
