Talking Volumes, an innovative book club created by the Star Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio and The Loft Literary Center, invites readers/listeners to explore a new title each month, culminating in a live radio, program with MPR's Kerri Miller, the selected book's author, and a live audience. In April of 2003, the College of Saint Benedict was pleased to welcome Talking Volumes for a live broadcast featuring Diane Glancy and her new novel Stone Heart: A Novel of Sacajawea. The novel retells the story of American legend Sacajawea, the young Shoshoni woman who traveled with Lewis and Clark on their expedition to the west, in her voice. Also the College of Saint Benedict hosted the Talking Volumes broadcast that featured Bharati Mukherjee and her novel Desirable Daughters in April of 2002. Visit Talking Volumes.
