The LAI and Global Awareness Lecture Series present a Poetry Reading by Professor Fawzia Afzal-Khan from Montclair State University. Professor Afzal-Khan will be reading from her book Shattering the Stereotypes: Muslim Women Speak Out. The reading will take place in Gorecki 120 at the College of Saint Benedict.

Writing is a craft and art. It sharpens critical and analytical abilities and allows us to know ourselves. The Literary Arts Institute of the College of Saint Benedict is an expression of our deep and abiding commitment to the written word. Since its founding, the College has embraced the distinctive values of liberal and fine arts, with writing at its very center.
