The Holiness of the Imagination Oct. 19, 2004

Featuring Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg and Marie Howe

Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg's presentation "Through the Looking Glass: Imagining Redemption" explored the "secret of redemption" by drawing from stories in Exodus. Marie Howe's presentation "Silences Within Stories Where Poetry Lives" followed Zornberg. Howe uses poems to explore similar terrain, specifically the silence surrounding women in the Bible. She was then joined on stage by Zornberg to discuss their imaginative responses to these stories. This event is co-sponsored with Project LOGOS and the Jay Phillips Center for Jewish-Christian Learning.
