The Government Documents Collection is located on the main floor (upper level) of Alcuin Library on the St. John's University campus.
Established as a U.S. federal depository in 1954, the library currently selects 45% of the United States Government Printing Office (GPO) item numbers available. The Library collects, organizes, and provides access to publications of the U.S. Federal government to support the education, research and service program needs of Saint John's University/College of Saint Benedict. The collection contains print documents; microfiche; CDROMs; and maps. Alcuin is a United States government depository only. We do not receive state level or international government documents.
The paper documents have the same circulation policies as the general book collection, unless marked as non-circulating. Microfiche, CD-Roms and maps can be checked out for one day only.
Reference Librarians are available at either Clemens or Alcuin Libary to answer your questions or via online reference chat (Additional information regarding reference services (e.g. hours) can be found at Reference Services).
Library Instruction, individual appointments or additional questions can be directed to Sarah Gewirtz, Reference/Government Documents Librarian (ext. 2601 or sgewirtz@csbsju.edu).
