- Issue 3.1 Fall/2004
- This issue focuses on the many new enhancements to the library's electronic resources collection. Several new licensed databases are outlined, including Books in Print, CPLI, PsyARTICLES, Index Islamicus and many others. The implementation of new research tools, "Find It" and RefWorks is discussed, and Director Michael Kathman notes important changes in the electronic publishing industry. This issue also includes profiles of new staff members Sarah Gewirtz, David Wuolu, Nicole Anderson, and Lorie Warren Wuolu. The featured databases are Academic Search Premier and Oxford English Dictionary Online.

- Issue 2.3 Spring/2004
- In this issue, Director Michael Kathman outlines some of the key recommendations of the Joint Libraries Task Force. An article on the library's participation in the Public Library of Science (PLoS) provides some insightful information on this innovation in scholarly publishing practice. Implementation of SFX electronic resources linking technology is discussed, as well as recent library exhibits, the status of the DVD and media collection, and new acquisitions in the area of gardening. Everyone is remined that despite the ongoing implementation of the library's online database system, ILL service is still available on an uninterrupted basis. The database inserts provide information on two important journal collections, JSTOR and Project Muse.

- Issue 2.2 Winter/2004
- Important information on downtime for the library's online catalog is detailed in the "Notes from the Director". The reader will find several representative pictures of student art work taken from the 2003 Clemens Art Contest. Additional articles provide information on encyclopedias online, PAIS and Lexis Nexis. Joel Schou's Alcuin Library exhibit is noted, as well as the arrival of new serials associate, Todd Martinson.

- The insert for this issue offers useful tips on how to use the new library catalog, MnPALS. New library staff are profiled on page two with full color pictures! A short article details how to utilize the new proxy server for off-campus access to subscription databases, and the latest library exhibit on the Catholic intellectual tradition is featured. Submisssions for the 5th annual Student Art Contest must be in by November 10, 2003.

- In this issue, Director Michael Kathman offers a summary listing of new library initiatives and services instituted over the course of the school year. Pictures of the new Chinese scrolls on display in Alcuin Library accompany articles on web usability testing, research bibliography award winners and a feature on an exhibit of professors' favorite books. The highlighted databases for this issue are Philosopher's Index and America: History and Life.

An article on a former student worker now in library school is also featured, as well as articles on collection diversity, library exhibits and details on how to submit an entry for the Research Bibliography awards. Director, Michael Kathman addresses how the Governor's proposed budget will effect academic libraries in the state of Minnesota. GroveMusic and Periodical Contents Index are the featured databases.
