“The Vital Vote? Thinking Catholics and Politics,” featured Joe Feuerherd, a Washington correspondent for the National Catholic Reporter (NCR). Feuerherd spoke on Thursday, Oct. 28, in the Alumnae Hall in the Haehn Campus Center on the CSB campus.
Feuerherd focuses on church-related issues on Capitol Hill and the House, on nonprofit associations and interest groups and reporting on the Washington-based U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. He served as Washington Bureau chief for NCR from 1988-91. He reopened the bureau and staff in the fall of 2001. In the intervening years, he served as spokesperson for the Housing Opportl Commission in Montgomery County, Md. and as associate publisher and editorial director for Financial Information Group, where he was founding editor of several weekly newsletters dealing with financial matters.
