The Journey Institute is a personal enrichment opportunity for CSB Alumnae and their families. In designing this institute, we believe one of the primary ways we learn about the process of vocational discernment is through careful and committed listening to self and others. Our time in personal reflection, listening, and discussion cultivates our ability to assist our families and the communities in which we live and work with vocational discernment. We will engage in vocational reflection privately, in small groups, and within the entire community of participants.
Each day of the Institute focuses on addressing the following questions:
- Monday: We will explore varying contexts of our spirituality at its Christian foundation "Who am I and who am I called to become so I can love as God loves." We will also explore the role spirituality has within our vocation.
- Tuesday: What does it mean to reflect on our lives from a vocational perspective? How do we discern our vocation? What are our interests and skills and how can they be used to express our vocation?
- Wednesday: How can these tools and processes be incorporated into our families? Within our professional careers? Our communities?
Enrollment in the Institute is limited to twenty participants. Costs for lodging, meals, and materials are covered by our office (Companions on a Journey). The Institute will be co-facilitated by the Companions on a Journey staff - Mary Reuter, O.S.B., and invited presenters.
- Complete the online application which includes a brief reflection on the your current vocational aspirations and why you would like to attend the Institute.
