Farmer's Market Walk and Extending the Link "Ubumwe" Documentary Showing

Friday, September 2nd, 3:45 pm

Join the Institute for Women's Leadership, Extending the Link, Health Advocates, and the Common Ground Garden for an evening focusing on the role women play in agriculture both locally and globally. Meet in Mary Commons at 3:45 pm or 4:00 pm inside the Common Ground Garden barn for a showing of Extending the Link's documentary, "Ubumwe." Following the film we will walk to the Farmer's Market together to get a glimpse of local agriculture and a taste of locally grown foods.

Women on the Wall

Friday, September 9th, 6-8 pm

Bennies will have the opportunity to climb at an all-women's climbing session. Learn basic climbing tecniques or perfect the skills you already have!

Fall Break Hiking Trip- Superior Hiking Trail

October 1st-4th

Staying on campus this Fall Break? Instead join the IWL for a weekend excursion to the Superior Hiking Trail! We will hike a small portion of this famous and scenic trail during one of the most beautiful time of the year- autumn! More details to come. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Women's Adventure Book Club

November, exact dates TBD

The first 20 people to sign up for this book club will recieve a free copy of a women's adventure novel that is yet to be determined (first-come, first-served basis). It is our hope that as you read and discuss this book that you will be empowered to take adventures of your own. We will meet multiple times during the month of November to discuss this book. Exact dates and times of discussions are to be determined.
