Using Faculty Web Templates

IT Services has developed two web templates to assist faculty in setting up their personal websites. The templates provide a structure and navigation for your site, but no content. Once imported to your website, the templates can be customized for your needs.

• The Personal template  provides a structure for your personal homepage and includes links to courses, professional activities, vitae, and personal links. (preview) (to import) (details)

The template pages make use of FrontPage "included" files to display navigation links and footers in the template pages. An included page footer and a navigation sidebar appears on every page of the template, similar to the blue sidebar visible at the left on this page. Included content in a page can be identified by moving your mouse pointer over the area. The icon indicates included content. This content cannot be edited directly in the page where it appears. Instead you must edit the file containing the included content. These files are stored in the _private folder in the template.
