Network connections, available in all residence hall rooms, provide Ethernet connectivity to the Internet and network resources for student-owned PCs and Macs, free of charge, 24 hours-a-day.
In order to get connected, student-owned computers need an Ethernet card. Most new computers have one built in; however, if you do not have an Ethernet card, one can be purchased from the Computer Store on campus. Call the Computer Store at 320-363-2864 with any questions.
See Requirements for Student Owned Computers Connecting to the CSB/SJU Network for more information on minimum requirements for connecting personal computers to the campus network.
A "Get Connected" guide with instructions for connecting to the campus network, Ethernet cables and Office 2007 software, for $9.00, will be available on move-in day for students.
