Website Design
CaringBridge is a fast growing, innovative nonprofit organization that enables unique and personal communities of support that enrich family and friend connections during times of need.  They offer free, easy-to-create web sites for anyone in a healthcare crisis to ease the burden of trying to communicate with family and friends during an illness.
Responsibilities:  Designing CaringBridge site style templates using Photoshop and developing and updating CaringBridge information site web pages.
Qualifications:  Just be knowledgeable in Photoshop 7.0 or higher, HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver.  Looking for a 20 hour/week commitment starting mid-September.

The Collaboration – St. Paul, MN                                                          ON-GOING              
The Collaboration is a unique regional alliance of 90 diverse colleges and universities that supports and promotes outstanding college teaching through faculty, staff, and organizational development.  They are currently seeking a highly organized, responsible, and self-motivated student intern to support the organization’s web and e-mail based communication strategies and do web-based research.  Responsibilities include maintaining websites, assisting with writing a quarterly newsletter, coordinating distribution of e-newsletters, and conducting website research.  Applicants must have a high school diploma and have completed one year of college.  This is an ongoing paid position.

CSB/SJU Bookstore

Description:  The CSB/SJU Bookstores are looking for a fall/spring intern.
Responsibilities:   Assist website personnel with all aspects of their site, including maintaining the website, working with order fulfillment, creating descriptions for products on the website, taking digital pictures and editing them, and working with system provider and institutional IT services. The position may also work in some areas of advertising and merchandising. 
Requirements:   Interns should have knowledge of FrontPage, Atomz publishing, and HTML, strong writing skills, digital software knowledge, be a self starter, and creative.

The Saint Paul Saints, members of the American Association for Independent Baseball, are currently looking for interns/assistants for Fall (September – December), Winter (January-May) and Summer (May-August).  Responsibilities: Internships are available in group ticket sales, corporate sales, ticket sales and operations, promotions, media relations, merchandise, special events, game day promotion, customer and community relations, food and beverage, website/graphic design, and accounting.  Each position provides entry-level work and experiences which will give the intern valuable experience and prepare them for work in the professional sports world.
Qualifications:  Fall and Winter internships are unpaid, while paid summer internships are limited and highly competitive and demanding.

City of St. Paul – St. Paul, MN
The City of St. Paul is seeking a website coordinator intern for the of 2004 summer. The intern will work with the city website coordinator on the management of the content and web-based services of the city’s internet and intranet.  The intern will also work with a variety of city departments to provide online access to information and services, organize information for clarity, attractiveness, and ease on the web site, and develop, maintain, and design the city-wide web-based projects.  Previous course work in information management, computer science, business, communications, electronic media, or related fields is required.  The intern should have knowledge of tools used for web development such as: Adobe Illustrator, MacroMedia Freehand, Adobe Photoshop, MarcroMedia Fireworks, MacroMedia Flash, DreamWeaver, and HTML.  Work hours are 30-40 per week with a salary of $12.50 per hour.  To apply, send a resume to the contact below.

Sports & Entertainment – St. Paul, MN
The Minnesota Sports & Entertainment organization is offering a summer internship from June through August of 2003.  An intern will have the responsibilities of assisting and designing a new website, assisting with marketing events and planning, maintaining database systems by adding new client information and updating current information, and assembling and distributing proposals and packets on behalf of the sales staff.  One must be able to work between 32-40 hours/week during this internship.  Compensation of $8/hour and free parking are available.  For more information of if you would like to apply, contact the information below.  Applications must be turned in by April 16, 2003.

Student Conservation Association – St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN
The Student Conservation Association has collaborated with the National Symbols Program to present opportunities in  website design and in creating and implementing a marketing plan to promote it.  The National Symbols Program supports the promotion of Smokey Bear, Woodsy Owl, and the Junior Forest Rangers Program.  Their website provides tools and information to program managers and educators working in fire prevention and conservation education.  These are full time internships from 3-4 months long.   Some of the benefits for these positions include an experience in web design and marketing planning, a living allowance, and the opportunity for an education award to be used for existing or future student loans.   For an application please visit www.sca-inc.org/vol/raca/racaapp/download/
