Arts Midwest – Minneapolis, MN ONGOING
Arts Midwest is looking for a development intern to provide support for all fundraising activities of Arts Midwest. These activities include administrative support, data entry, assisting in annual fund campaign for individual, corporate and foundation contributors, program sponsorships, prospecting for new funders, as well as representing Arts Midwest to funders when appropriate. This is a volunteer, temporary, part-time position, reporting to the Director of Development. Arts Midwest will provide a letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the internship.
Responsibilities: Generate private prospects and leads from staff and board members, follow up on requests for information, assist with scheduling, correspondence, word processing, mailings and special projects, act as a representative of Arts Midwest with funders as appropriate, computer data entry, maintenance of files, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Undergrad students or recent grad with Bachelor’s degree, interest in further developing fundraising skills, strong oral and written communications, excellent organizational skills, proficiency in computer word processing skills, including Word, Excel and MS Office.

Description: The Graphics Department of The Associated Press is offering a 12- week internship. Interns will get to create breaking and advanced graphics for national, international, sports, and business fields. Interns will also get to work on research and interviewing techniques. This internship is paid.
Responsibilities: Interns will learn to manipulate data and create meta-data oriented graphics, learn vector rendering, and 3-D rendering styles for graphics.

Photo Internship Program ONGOING
Description: This internship is a highly selective internship for the summer. This internship is tailored for students who are aspiring photojournalists or photo editors. Associated Press will choose a minimum of 2 interns for the Photo Internship Program for this paid internship.
Responsibilities: Intern will work with a designated trainer to help in development. Intern will cover stories that could be featured in media outlets around the state or the globe.
Requirements: Intern must be a junior or senior. Start dates may be anytime between mid- May and mid- June depending on schedule.

Video Internship Program ONGOING
Description: The Associated Press Broadcast News Center in Washington, D.C is offering a video internship during the summer. This is a paid internship.
Responsibilities: Interns will work with a team that is producing voiced video packages that are distributed to broadcast television stations and Web sites in the United States. Interns will work with non-linear editing gear and learn broadcast writing and storytelling techniques.
Requirements: Intern must be a junior or senior. Start dates may be anytime between mid- May and mid- June depending on schedule.

Camp New Hope – McGregor, MN ONGOING
Camp New Hope provides educational, recreational, and leisure services to adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families through summer camps, resort services, weekend respites, and family vacations. This internship will re-design, implement, and evaluate Camp New Hope’s music program to include educational, recreational and leisure music activities adapted to participants’ needs and abilities. The project will result in the creation of a music program manual for training staff and implementing future music programs. Applicants should have two years of college and musical experience or experience working with people with development disabilities required. Strong organizational and communication skills are also required. Background in music therapy, music education or therapeutic recreation desired by not mandatory. Citizens for a Safer Minnesota Education Fund – St. Paul, MN ONGOING
The mission of the Citizens for a Safer Minnesota Education Fund is to eliminate gun violence through education. This organization is seeking an intern to coordinate a public Gun Violence Awareness Art Exhibit containing the work of various artworks portraying the artists’ feelings and thoughts about gun violence. The intern will develop the idea for the show and solicit artists to submit their work. Description: Illustration/graphic design internship opportunity at Creative Memories in St. Cloud. This paid opportunity is open to undergraduates or graduates. The Hill Monastic Manuscript Library – Collegeville, MN
THE HMML is dedicated to the preservation of medieval and renaissance manuscripts for the benefit of future generations. HMML is for a junior or senior who has strong interest in art and/or history to be the Digital Imaging and Electronic Resources Intern. This is an internship being offered by Irma Wyman. The intern will work under the supervision of the Director of Digital Collections and Imaging. The intern will gain experiences developing electronic resources and the digitations and on-line delivery of library resources. Responsibilities also include: developing materials on-line for HMML Study Centers from past exhibits and materials, working with a team creating virtual exhibits, working with original materials as well as microfilmed manuscripts, and experience with high-quality digital photography. The intern should have basic experience with such software applications as FrontPage, PhotoShop, InDesign, and Acrobat. This is a paid internship at $8.50 an hour. Laketrails Base Camp is looking for a summer intern who will combine photography, journalistic writing and editing skills to produce a camp video and a camp brochure to be used in Laketrails’ marketing efforts. The project will include: creating a photographic record of camp activities; using views of footage and digital photography; the production, developing, and editing of a film highlighting the Camp’s activities, and the creation of a text for the brochure. Prospective interns should be enrolled in a degree program in mass communications or a related field, have some experience with video photography, and be comfortable working in an outdoor environment for much of the day. The intern will reside at Oak Island on Lake of the Woods with other Laketrails’ staff and campers and will participate in a variety of Laketrails programming.
