The International Student Consultants efforts make the transition to life on the CSB/SJU campuses easier for foreign students and benefit the cultural awareness of the entire community.
In conjunction with the Joint Mission Statement of CSB/SJU, the International Student Consultant Program aims to enhance and promote continual cultural interaction amongst all students, staff, and faculty within CSB/SJU and the greater community. As an extension of the institution's commitment to diversity, the ISC program provides the education and service to foster a comfortable intercultural learning community. The staff is committed to respectful and positive dialogue between all community members. Nibras Hanna, Iraq, email

Nibras Hanna is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science with an emphasis in Pre-Engineering. He is the first international student from Iraq at Saint John’s and enjoys teaching people Arabic. Nibras is Christian Chaldean and worked as an interpreter for the US Military for three years before coming to the United States. This is his first year working for the International Student Program. Nibras is interested in Politics and loves sharing his point of view of the Iraq war. He is also involved with the Veterans Association on campus. Nibras would like to study abroad possibly in South Africa or Japan in the future.
Vedrana Gracanin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, email
Vedrana is a senior at the College of Saint Benedict. Vedrana is majoring in Economics, she is graduating next December. Vedrana has been working for the International Student Program for the last semester and she enjoys working with her fellow international students. She is interested in world politics, fashion and likes watching soccer games. Vedrana is friendly and always ready for conversation.

Nermin Hujdurovic is a sophomore majoring in Bussines Management. This is Nermin`s second year at the International Student Program. Nermin plays basketball on a varsity team for Saint Johns. He also coaches basketball and would like to become a pro coach one day. He enjoys travelling and meeting new people.

Nakita is a junior majoring in Communication with a minor in Environmental Studies. She has been an International Student Consultant for a full year and she loves working with Addy. She won’t be in office for most of the 2008-2009 school year because she is studying abroad- China in the fall and South Africa in the spring. She loves to meet new people and enjoys good conversations.

Jasmine Chi Man Tang is a freshman majoring in Liberal Studies and Philosophy with a minor in Spanish and Pre-law. This is Jasmine’s first year working in the International Student Office. Jasmine is from Hong Kong and she enjoys taking pictures, drawing, playing piano, reading in Chinese and studying Spanish. She was a foreign exchange student in Buffalo, MN last year and she hates snow. Her dream is to become a traveler who gets paid, which may never happen. She loves travelling and she wishes that she can travel throughout the Europe for a year or more.
Vincent Thompson, The Bahamas, email

Vincent Thompson is a freshman majoring in Economics with a minor in Spanish. This is Vincent’s first year at the International Students Program. Vincent is from the Bahamas and loves the warm climate that comes with being a Bahamian. Vincent likes to play every kind of sport; basketball mostly, and to spend time with his friends watching movies and listening to rap and reggae music. His dream is to become an Economist where he will be able to get paid to live in other countries and research on their economies with his family.
