ILCP provides a unique values-based curriculum in leadership certification. The foundation of our program highlights five exemplary priniples of leadership and the Benedictine Values which support them.
The Bronze Certificate provides an introduction to new perspectives on leaders and leadership, suggests pathways for personal growth and development, and offers a range of individual and group leadership skills.
The Bronze Certificate will be awarded upon completion of six of the following workshops, including the three required workshops, and submission of a final reflective summary of your personal leadership skills.
The Silver Certificate offers additional skill development, assists students in higher level group development, explores the range of personal learning and leadership styles, and helps students discover their strengths and effective leadership practices.
The Silver Certificate will be awarded upon completion of the Bronze Certificate and six of the following workshops, including the three required workshops, and submission of a final reflective summary of your personal leadership practices.

The Gold Certificate provides opportunities to explore a wide variety of leadership theories and models in the context of the historical development of leadership as an emerging field of study, examines individual theories, assists students in developing a personal leadership model, and requires students to demonstrate an understanding of a minimum of three of the major leadership theories. The gold-designated theory workshops are typically offered only once each academic year.
The Gold Certificate will be awarded upon completion of the Silver Certificate and six workshops, including three required workshops, and submission of a documented demonstration of a personal leadership model.

The Emerald Certificate is designed to provide opportunities for students and student employee supervisors to enhance personal and professional skills that include defining workplace expectations, helping prepare students for promotions and higher level supervisory positions, gaining meaning from workplace culture, and providing assistance in transitioning to work after college.
The Emerald Certificate will be awarded upon completion of six workshops, including the three required and three optional, and the submission of a reflective summary.

The Opal Certificate in Intercultural Competency is designed to provide participants with exposure and information surrounding various aspects of intercultural and identity issues. Recognizing the multiple levels of diversity which occuring in our local, national, and global societies, participants in the Opal Certificate will explore the such topics as identity, socilization, and the number of pieces that influence one's identity and interactions, including, but not limited to, race, gender, class, religion, ethnicity, ability, and sexual orientation.
The Opal Certificate will be awarded upon completion of six workshops, including three required workshops, and submission of a reflection on intercultural awareness.
