Place of peace on campus: Sexton Eagle Eye
My name is Addafini and I am from Garoua, Cameroon. Throughout my life I have moved around and visited many countries and for that I have my parents to thank. I am the student manager at Intercultural and International Student Services and together we have created and hosted many events around campus. During my spare time I love to bake or watch cooking shows. If I'm not doing this, I'm with friends catching up and having a blast.
Which aspect(s) of diversity are you most passionate about?
I would say that the aspect of diversity that I am most passionate about would lean more towards the cultural aspect of being an international student. I enjoy teaching others about my culture and telling them my story. I find that because we all have a different story, we have a diverse amount of it.
What advice would you like to give to continuing students?
I would say to continuing students to always remember that they are welcome at the IISS for anything that they may need. Whether it be amazing news or just wanting to vent. I would also say to them to be good influence on incoming students and to help them through until they see that the no longer need help.
