Executive Assistant for the Vice President of Institutional Advancement

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Institutional Advancement at the College of Saint Benedict invite applications for the position of Executive Assistant for the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.  This position is responsible for supporting the mission of the College by assisting the vice president in the performance of her/his overall responsibilities, relieve the vice president of routine tasks and assist in overseeing the office's multi-faceted operation to help ensure smooth and efficient operation. The executive assistant plays a key role in the management of campaign related processes and procedures, including assisting in the planning process, ensuring that functions occur in a timely fashion and coordinating the fund raising activities of the vice president for institutional advancement. The Executive assistant is also responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met, tracking of fund raising information is up-to-date and disseminated properly, and campaign budgeting processes are conducted appropriately.  The successful incumbent will posses the necessary administrative skills in order to prepare such documents as minutes, reports, charts, graphs, presentations and memos; manage and prioritize the Vice President's calendar for all activities; transcribe dictation; edit and proof correspondence and develop, assess and implement travel plans for the vice president.

Qualifications: 
 High school graduate or equivalent with post-secondary education in administrative/secretarial field is required. College degree is preferred. Experience working with senior management with five years office experience is required.  The ability to maintain a complex filing system and track departmental budgets is required along with intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite.  Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal relations skills are required in order to interact professionally with internal and external clientele.
