Custodian - Prep Academic Building

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Saint John's Preparatory School invites applications for a full time position of custodian.  This position is responsible for all aspects of cleanliness, refuse/recycling removal and sanitation of assigned areas; refinishing floors, carpet shampooing, cleaning of rest rooms, shower rooms, offices, corridors, stairways, etc., minor repairs, maintenance and operation of custodial equipment. The position will be involved with weekend, summer and fill in cleaning in all areas of the prep campus as assigned.

Qualifications:  Institutional housekeeping/custodial experience preferred; willingness to do on the job training.  Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instruction and communicate effectively to faculty, staff and students.  Must be able to work with minimal supervision; knowledge of a variety of specialized cleaning products and procedures; must be able to tolerate the use of cleaning products and the ability to lift and move items in excess of 25 lbs.  As a condition of employment, a successful background check is required.
