Assistant Director of Admission
ANTICIPATED OPENING
The Office of Admission at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invite application for an anticipated position opening of Assistant Director of Admission to begin July 1, 2009. This position is responsible for contributing to the overall recruitment efforts of the College and planning and implementing procedures and programs for attracting and matriculating students. The encumbent will accomplish this by interviewing prospective students and increase inquiry pool, successfully manage inquiries, applicants, and outreach initiatives; review, prepare and route completed applicant files to admissions committee for review; remain current with trends in higher education; present information about CSB/SJU to groups of students, parents, educators, and alumni; design and implement a recruitment plan for designated geographic regions and assist with scholarship program and financial aid follow-up.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required; masters degree preferred. Four years of work experience is required with at least three years of experience within a higher education environment (or combination of experience and education); familiarity with selective liberal arts colleges and non-profit organizations; well developed oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to work independently and with a team as well as with various constituencies; must be able to travel, evening and weekend hours, and a valid driver’s license is required.
