Director of Gift Planning

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Institutional Advancement at the College of Saint Benedict invite applications for the position of Director of Gift Planning.  The Director of Gift Planning is responsible for supporting the mission of the College of Saint Benedict by raising funds for capital and endowment projects, as well as the annual operating budget, supporting development efforts and improving the visibility of the College of Saint Benedict in the Twin Cities and other areas as assigned. This officer has primary responsibility for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding planned gifts, as well as major and annual gifts.

Qualifications: B.A./B.S. degree, with minimum of five to seven years prior successful planned gift fundraising experience required.  Experience in donor/prospect cultivation and solicitation process, including the use of volunteers.  Demonstrated success in securing significant gifts from individuals is preferred. Capital campaign experience preferred.  The successful candidate will posses excellent leadership and management skills, will be detail-oriented and posses skills in the organization of systems and aptitude for data analysis.  Strong interpersonal relation, oral and written communication skills with demonstrated success working in a team setting and with volunteers is required.  Must be willing to travel on a regional and/or national basis.
